A remapped Xsara 110 - that must be a quick little beast then. Had you been closer (& a few days earlier) I may well have grabbed that as I reckon 110 Xsaras have potential for retaining value over the next few years. They're a very credible alternative to a 306, especially considering the sporty 306 DTurbos only had 90bhp.

Helpful info for prospective buyers though - what mileage has it covered?

I had an early shape HDi 90 estate which was no slouch, The 110 is ideal, (intercooler so more efficient, probably taller gearing too).

I got 48 - 51 mpg with my lead-footed driving style, this should be a brilliant combination of performance and economy. 8)
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

was the 48 mpg round town driving ?
most ive had out of this is 51mpg and that was at a steady 65-70 on a motorway run,

Yes iagree , isold it to cheap.

if theres no insurance on it they fine you even if its off the road and onyour own driveway!

got a fine the other week for not putting one car ihad on Sorn,
one of the reasons, now iwont keep acar if im not using it, and theres no logic in insuring 2 cars, not that icouid afford too,

That came in last April i think, i had to pay an extra £20 for a weeks insurance while selling my Xsara before christmas and the day it sold on ebay the buyer didn't contact me so my wife insured it for another week third party £13... half hour later he came and picked the car up... arrgghhh.

That's so annoying. Parking round this estate is ridiculous & some a**ehole over the road has a Range Rover that's been uninsured since mid-January & only moves once a fortnight (if that) & nothing has been done to him.

There on the ball round here,
ive seen afew picked up off the road and put straight onto a waggon,
some nice cars too not bangers,
by time they pay the impound fee and storage fees they might as well just throw them the log book and keys,
