Now then steve !! Actually my drivers seat is broke ( could be something to do with
me being a fat bastard :P ) and although it is fixed in the car it will tilt right back
and when MJ had a go it caught him out  mumbled something about his
feet coming away from the peddles as he accelerated hehe

Shades of Top Gear driving some Chinese garbage in China where every time Clarkson put his foot down the seat with the three of them on it tipped back

I did something similar a few weeks back, I had to go pick up some parts for the shop, I've used my own car before much to their amusement but this time I took the "staff" car - a clapped out old diesel Astra. I jumped in it and immediately realised the driver's seat had collapsed - owww my bluddy back! :(

 How did that happen, puggy?

Heavy braking in reverse perhaps?

I did a similar one years ago on finding myself in completely the wrong lane at Hyde Park corner traffic lights. A glance to the left revealed a Marina van & mk2 Cortina would need to be out-dragged to change lanes, so I launched the Lotus the instant the lights turned amber......

Seat slid ALL the way back as I tried to snatch 3rd, left me coasting round the next corner, clinging to the wheel by the tips of my fingers, while fumbling desperately for the stupid pull-out handbrake under the dash.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Bloody cheeky sod you are doggy  the height adjust cable has
pulled out and something underneath has broken so even though you
can't pull the seat out it does tilt right back to the rear seat

I remember in the Alfa doing something similar, adjusted the seat angle but it hadn't clicked back in, took off and the seat back fell to the sleeping position, me driving like I'm sitting on a barstool, and the clutch cylinder was knackered and you had to tap the clutch a certain way to stop it sticking, I couldn't so just had to brake to stall it to get it stopped and get my bearings
