Make sure you cover them up and make them mouse proof or in 20 years time when Mike Brewer comes a knocking your door on his zimmer Ed China will be one unhappy chappy.

They also sold the ZT with a Mustang V8.

Got them on my watch list, not that i've got the money but it don't hurt to dream

Much as I love the look of that £17k L200, I really like the look of the red 16v conversion. It may only be the lowly hatchback, but at under £3k as a daily driveable classic, I reckon it's well worth the money. Mind you, I bet the white one for £3.5k would be a sound investment - I just really like the C20XE engine in the red one.

That red 16v seems a bit of a bargain, but I still rate the i200, as looks, 'scuse my french, the bollocks

I did a red top conversion on mine, but in many ways, wished i'd of done a V8 conversion
I think at the time, the temptation of the red top on twin 48's was too much for me, whereas, just the sound of the lazy ass V8 is good enough without larging it everywhere

The MegaManta was on there a bit back which was an ex show car, with a big yank V8, but even though the spec was massive, the asking price was a tad over optomistic Started at 35k, then 30k, then 26k i think, but if money was no object, I would have it

from what I've read once you put in an upgraded head gasket kit the k series is as good as any other engine.

Tbh ive had loads of rovers, k -series
never had one thats let me down. trouble is people put water in them and dont bleed them off properly, ithink anyway

They don't sound too bad between reading CM magazine and AR online many people once they put the new HG in the K series is a good engine. I do remember talking to a friend of my dads an ex rover mechanic who is now an ambulance driver. He said back in the 90's most of his time was spent taking out engines and putting new ones into rovers. It must have been cheaper for rover just to put a new engine in than bother repairing. The gearboxes on some of the wedge shaped rover 200's were very weak apparently.

problem was when rover pulled out,
the main problem was the c/h stetch bolts, hence why they came up with the idea of the ones that look like there 6ft long,
ive broke the odd one in the past and had to remove the sump

My old vectra was lowered 40mm on 17's, tyres only caught the arches when I was turning on and off my drive, but I used to have a Rieger style bodykit fitted to it and I had crawl over every ramp, bump, pothole but it did look cool!

This always amuses me.
One time I waft up the road over the speed bumps barely feeling them, some young fella in a lowered car behind me is up by bumper, then slows right down and crawls over the speed bump, then up my bumper, then crawls over speed bump, etc. etc.

I usually get stuck behind these knob ends.

Reckon they should introduce a speed bump into the MOT, automatic fail if you can't do 10 mph over it.

If there's nothing coming, I just pass them at the next speed bump.

Frequently, they try to race you to the one after that, with predictable results.
