It's all your fault

Post by scotty73 »

Nicest day in about 3 weeks here today so i should be out doing some Maintenance on the car things like.

Oil and filters change and my drop links... But no I'm not doing these things.

Why? because we're booked to go away this weekend and i'm scared one of the 406cc horror stories will happen like dodgy sump plug or me breaking the fuel filter housing, leaving my car jacked up and my kids missing out on a holiday.

You buggers have a lot to answer for.

Ack!

Sump plug is get offable with a socket, fuel filter housing with an oil filter strap.

At least the fuel filter is easy to get at on the HDi and XUD.

And make sure you take off the right sump plug

Not sure about droplinks.

Ha ha!!

I'd do the same I think, I ripped my hand to shreds doing an oil change on my HDi once and swore I'd never do it again

It took me about 2 hrs to restle and bodge the undertray* back on too :frown:

Sump plugs - Gearbox points down, engine points to the rear of the vehicle.

The undertray ended up in the bin as it was held on with cable ties anyway.
