After reading various posts it seems my rear clunking noise is coming from...... This is where I'm confused is it a top link or a drop link, or are they the same part with just different names? Sorry its a bit of a dumb question but I'm not mechanically minded so all the help I get is appreciated.

Re: confused :?
This is how I see it
There is a Horizontal link - which to me is the top link - as its at the top of the hub assembly
Then there is a Vertical link - which to me is the drop link - which comes off the ARB on to the bottom of the hub assembly
Feel free to correct me guys

Re: confused :?
You could just try replacing both to be sure.
At £20 for both the verticals and the horizontals, it is hardly breaking the bank and it means one less job to do for at least a couple of years.

Spot on

Best to diagnose the fault properly rather than just replace everything it might be.
