Hehe. I used to leave a little bit of blanket poking out of the bonnet to try and remind myself.

Was required when you started work in a petrol station at 7am when it'd been snowing. Dunno how I did it every weekend, the things you do for beer money. Couldn't do it now!

Couldn't get used to these new fangled HDis with no glow plug light.

With the ZX it was like a wee routine, in, turn key, enter PIN into the little immobiliser keypad (the 2 I've owned and every one I see they all have 1 button that's more worn than the other as the code is always 1111 or 9999 ), seatbelt on, glowplug light by then has gone off, chugchug into life!

i never wear my seatbelt but always make sure my kids do.
one of the reasons i dont wear mine is that i used to be a recovery driver which had the police contract to recover road traffic accidents and have seen people killed when they have been stapped in and if they hadnt they would have lived.now i know all the adverts say you are safer if stapped in and i dont dout it but its my choice.
now i have also raced cars from non contact formulas to full on hard core banger raceing on the fastest tracks in the uk and have done head ons and multi rollovers so i know what it feels like and of course in these we always wear a full raceing harness so i know what it feels like to have a hard accident.and if i hadnt been strapped in i would have suffered in jury.
so i know the risks and iam not stupid i know that you cant brace yourself enough to stop you going forward but its my choice.wether that turns out to be a good choice only time will tell.

I know what you mean, in a way, and I understand people can get trapped in by the seat belt and perish but on the other hand I think it's better to be 'restrained' in some way in the event of a hard accident even if it's just to stop you smashing your face/knees on something less squidgy than yourself

I've seen peoples kids jumping all around the cars before, and I know someone who had an accident, turning round to tell the kids off for doing so, so it's always been the case, that in my car, everyone is belted up before we move - i've never had an issue with my son not wearing his seatbelt

Having quite a long lane is handy for me, gives me time to drive and put it on before venturing onto the road Though I'm finding with the 405 that I'm now putting it on before I start the car as I wait for it to heat

With the clio i didn't put the belt onto it until it started, sometimes the starter would need a few taps with a hammer to get going and there was no point putting on the seatbelt only to take it off again.

simple rule,dont forget you are not alone on the road:) dont think about your driving,think about others,you never know what to expect from the driver behind you

Should be shown to all new drivers, and any one who thinks that seat belts are not a good idea. Having done my share of breakdown truck driving, i've seen the mess left after people hit windscreens.
I will not move a vehicle with out wearing one.

iagree mate,
they shouid show it in this country on Tv, its the first one that ive seen that hits hard, makes you think about how important it is everyone as a seatbelt on,
most of all ithink everyone shouid bear in mind there couid be an idiot or drink driver for eg just round the corner, that couid wipe you out in amatter of secounds they dont think or care,

I think its also how you learn in driving school.
The rule in driving school is always to fasten seatbelts,and go,never let the obligation to disapera from my mind
Since i drive a turbo 406,i turn the car on and let it work while i fasten my seatbelts,good for turbo,my money and me.

I must say that governmant had most of the law idiotic and stupid but the seatbelt law is good.
