Welcome mate, if I hadn't got kids the 2.2 coupe would be my car of choice.
Ever fancy swapping for a 1996 saloon let me know and a throw a couple of kids in to sweeten the deal :cheesy:

Nice car, good-looking and clean example of a Satellite Grey Coupe. Did you know that your car produces 136 HP by default, but by removing the Diesel Particle Filter (known here as the "FAP") and the Eloys additive system and remapping the ECU, you can bring it up to 180 HP? And it will actually improve your fuel economy? And it won't cost you an arm or a leg? It's true!

If you're interested in having this work done, let us know where you're at. There may be someone on these boards who can help you do this depending where you are. Doggy is a good bloke for removing this stuff, he's done it before (including to his own 2.2 HDi estate). There are also people on the 406 Coupe Club forums who might be able to help if you're nowhere near any of the other de-FAP/remap gurus on the 406oc.co.uk boards.

There is one rolling road result posted (Nicowico) over at the Coupe Club forums:
http://www.406coupeclub.org/phpBB3/view ... 78&t=40744

Does look like Nicowico did some extra things to achieve the full result, so it's not exactly concrete evidence. But deFAP/remapped 2.2 HDis are noticeably more powerful, so say all who've had the work done. And it should (in theory) also mean the car doesn't kick up the old "Anti-Pollution device defective" warning and light up the EML as often.
