Two topics for the price of one

Post by scotty73 »

Theiving little shites.
After last week when i caught a little scroat letting my tyre down i go out today and find the trim on my passenger side wing missing the bit under the LX badge leaving a nice hole for water to get in. ... This used to be such a quiet street too. :(

Topic two, i have a tomtom that is a few years old now so i want to update the map ready for a trip to north Wales, tomtom want £40 for a year which i think is a bit much.
I've seen torrents of tomtom maps to download but not sure how to do it or if their even for tomtoms as people seem to mention iphones in the replies.

Anyone know a way around this?

You have to go on proper sites to get sat nav updates,
Torrent sites arnt to be trusted with this kind of thing,

once you start up dating them it wipes off the original file, so if the one your putting on ends up carupt, you can end up with a sat nav thats useless
Google round, you will find the update software,

as of the peice of trim,. perhaps someone in your area as just bought a 406 with that peice missing,
Theiving thuckers, icarnt understand why they carnt buy there own, catch them and break there fingers

Those trims are less than £5 each from pug! I had to replace mine.

Wee bastards round our way broke the wing mirror off the Getz. Was meant to be a nice area too.

In the driveway but it's an open plan garden. Noteven an offensive wee car or anything. Scumbags.

Thank goodness were moving next week!

I guessed they were cheap, someone local that doesn't fancy the 40 mile round trip to Griffin mill that i had to make Thursday for a £3 part.

Could i order parts for the 406 from Citroen Merthyr? when i was in Griffin mill i asked about a wheel nut for my dads Berlingo and he said he could find out by logging onto Citroen... Not sure if he was going to see if the nuts from a pug fit the cistern or he could order cistern parts... Might be worth asking?

you have to download the correct map version that is compatable with your navcore. once downloaded you have to put it onto the tomtom system then active it using a program.

My tomtom is offering me United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 885.4058 (i've found that on gpsunderground) but also on there is United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 885.4059.

Would this be a newer one again? or is there a newer one out?

no 885 is the version and newest map the next map will probably be 890.???? . the other numbers corrisopond to your tomtom

so if tomtom home is saying use 4058 then use this not 4059. because 4059 may not be compatable with your navcore.

when you have the 4058 map on your pc all you do is simply copy and paste it to the root of your tomtom.
then get a program called easyactivate. copy and paste this program into the root along with the map and everything else in the root.
then run as administrator . patch the tomtom then activate. its very easy step by step ..

you may need a program called JDownloader . this is like a bit torrent program that is used to download then map
