passenger windows and fuses

Post by BlackmaxDK »

Hello :)

i got some issues with my 406, my car is born with no electric windows, i bought to complete front doors with electrictric windows in it, the original doors were dented :(
after fitting the doors only the window in drivers side works and only the left button lights up in the door, car is lefthandet...

So....
Today i went to the junker got me selv 2 complete wireing for the driver door and 2 complete for the passanger door, unmounted the doors and did try out the new wireings with same result, passanger door not responding.
I did unmount the motor and test it on battery, motor works fine, refitted the motor and tried once again, windows goes up and down, with help from battery.
I did measure all wires from top to toe, no broken spots at all.
I did found out, that the switch on the passanger door, did not get live connection

Now turn to the fuses, and when i open my box i see loads of holes, missing fuses, and the same thing in enginebay fuses are missing
When i did measure the missing fuses in engine bay i found 2 fusesockets vere live (hot 12V) with ignition on...

Shall i have fuses here ?, can someone post a picture for their fusebox in car and engine bay ???
I have a 1.8 16V motorcode LFY 112 BHP

And what is +VE and BSI ??? and where do i find BSI ???

Please help

Hi,

The B.s.i lives in the fusebox area, (inside car)

Heres alist of fuses, hope this helps if any, (As a guess with the car not being fitted with electric windows standard, you might have a Relay missing  )

If you have a D8. phase 1 406 this info is N/a to you so ignore, (Early phase 1 Dosent have a Bsi)
iwas guessing youve got a D9 based on the Fact you have Mentioned B.s.i. it wouid help to add More detail to your posts as to what model /age car youve got
you wouid get better response.
