Well, we're off at 8 am for a 400-mile blas..... erm, sorry - sedate meander to the ancestral home on the lovely Cowal penisula, where the weather isn't often good, but is forecast to be 27 deg. tomorrow & 28 on Monday.

Looking forward to a jar or two in doggy's favourite watering hole

Just installed a £3.99 4gb flash card in the camera, so I'll try & get a pic or two......

5 days in Pwllheli on a sun holiday, done them a few times and they're good value if you pick the right place. We tend to go to the old Bultins site which is now Haven, :oads of stuff for the kids but with some nice quiet bits for an adult break aswell.
Only cost about £90 for 4 nights for the three of us so really can't complain.

Which agent was that thru mate,
last time we used Haven it was expensive, and it was just basic static caravan,
that was Scarborough, Wont be going again, the one in wales sounds good value, id book one at them prices

Our school has given us a bus timetable that goes from Pwllheli to the eistedfodd site via the campsite were staying on the bus takes 33 minutes from Pwllheli and only 20 minutes from Caernarfon so i guess were closer to there

we looked at that haven site it looked great but very expensive for the days we wanted (week Wednesday onwards) it's half term week then.

Haven sites can be good we done Kiln park Tenby a few years back with discount codes it cost £9 a night caravan, electric, 4 people awning and a dog... oh and all entertainment passes.

It's through the sun newspaper on the £9.50 per person holidays. Of course it never works out to £9.50 when they add all the other crap on but even so at £90 you can't go wrong. We even paid extra to upgrade the accomadation at that price.
They do monday to friday or friday to monday which is handy if time off work is tricky. Google the sites before you book tho as I tried a pontins at Prestatyn a couple of years back and it was awful, less holiday camp more Stalag.
Really recommend the Pwllheli Haven tho but the basic accomadation is a bit dated so pay a little extra for the next level up and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I do agree about it being expensive if you go through Haven tho, but most uk holiday parks are stupid money at full price, cheaper to dust the passport off and bugger off abroad, might have a look at Greece when little one has to have school holidays, I bet it will be cheap with all the crap that's going on over there :cheesy:
