Brake fluid low?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Brake fluid low?

Post by pigboy306 »

When setting off the other day the hand brake was slightly on, the display warned me the brake fluid level was low. Now the car has the correct sentiment but it isnt low.
I have not changed the electircs from standard apart from swapping out the radio to a sony and using a stalk adapter. The car now does that beeping thing which i think is remedied by Peugeot planet. Anyone have any ideas about the duff message?

yes i figure it is the handbrake switch on, when the handbrake is fully off it doesnt happen. My point is surely it should warn Handbrake on rather than brake fluid low?

I've had that message whenever i've tried lifting the handbrake since December but it is the switch it's about £4 from Peugeot.. Rectified my problem.

No mistake mate phone Peugeot with your reg and ask to order a handbrake sensor.

It looks like this one for a 106 and this one claims to work on other models such as 406.
