it looks slightly disturbing to see a dead cat used for such a thing, at the moment it looks like it has rigamortus. Out of respect id have buried the thing not made it into a plane.
But one things for sure birds are scared shitless now of the idea that a cat can fly aswell, he should call it the catapult :cheesy:

But if you had a pet cow would you be waiting for it to die so you could make a leather sofa out of it?

"Grandma's died, shall we bury her or cremate her? No, let's stick a jet engine up her arse and fly her round the yard!"

A good idea of something to do with the leftover parts when your flexi gets eaten.

Some people used to (or still do) wear scarves with the head still on.

Old boys gentlemans clubs can have tiger skin mats with the head on, stuffed bears, dears heads etc.
I don't see how this is any different to those. At least the animal passed away and wasn't killed for decoration.

The difference is that you weren't emotionally attached to the bear that you shot and skinned to make that rug.

The cat in question was allegedly a "beloved family pet". Turning it into a helicopter seems distinctly cold. Steve's analogy about maybe jet-propelling your own recently-deceased granny is very similar to what this guy has done to his cat. It's just not the done thing.

I had the same viewpoint about that guy Gunther Von Hagens, who hit headlines for turning human corpses into art. I have no problem with people using cadavers for medical research and training future generations of doctors, but this guy was taking these people's bodies and using them on display for artistic reasons. I don't think that's right, personally, and for him to be able to do that makes me think he is disconnected from his fellow human being; like he's not really one of us.

As an aside, he even looks creepy as hell - remember that Nazi in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark? Reminds me of him

But then if people leave their bodies to art then their wishes should be respected, same as if they left them for science.

It is a little Bioshock-ish, I'm minded of Cohens art gallery in Fort Frolic.

What I think he was doing was making a "clever" reference to Orville Wright, one of the famous Wright Brothers, the former bicycle repair shop men who designed, built, and flew the world's first controlled powered fixed-wing aircraft at Kitty Hawk back in 1903.

EDIT: Damn, FarmerNinja beat me to it

Or was it this Orville like lozz asked?

Orville: I wish I could fly way up to the sky but I can’t,
Keith: You can,
Orville: I can’t!
