Carshop had jumpstarted the car corrupting the software on all the ECUs. Updated everything and the cars as sweet as a nut :)

When you say "all the ecu's" do you mean they've done it to a few of the cars they had there?

No as in the Radio, Convers+(Insturment cluster), Climate Control, BSI and the actually engine ECU.
They all have their own individual computers.

When my bmw was in the bodyshop back in 2007 and i caught them boost starting it at the battery and not the dedicated terminals under the bonnet,a week later the satnav unit packed up and the dash went haywire, the dash recovered but the satnav was u/s,they denied all knowledge of it and i had to forkout over 300 notes for a secondhand satnav reader.

Not over yet, was told by the Ford tech that the Consers+ may need replacing if the update dosen't 100% work.
Although it is better somtimes the temp drops for a few seconds down to minimum and rises back to 90.
Phoned up PWMiller who said no problem, booked it in for Tuesday and then they phoned CarShop for authorisasion to order the parts.

Had a phonecall of carshop "The dials in your model are significantley more than the basic dials, so we will be fitting the instrument cluster from a lesser model"

They want to replace this...

With this...

Had another bloody good rant about the sales of good act, how it's not fit for purpose and how I would be waiting on the door of the showroom tommorow wanting a refund for the car, expect £6,279 in cash etc etc. Unless it's replaced with the ford convers+ system it's supposed to have.

They are going to ring me tommorow

f*ck that, take it back and tell them you want a full refund. They have 'spiked' the electrics so what's in store next?

I'm not worried, the dials are the only problem, although they have updated everything as a precaution.

The dials are extremely fragile compared to everything else.

They can't do that Sam, it's got to be as per original spec. If someone had upgraded if in the past and they were talking about returning it to original spec they may have a point, but they can't downgrade your car cos the parts are expensive.

If that's the kind of shyte they try to pull I'm never setting foot in that place!
