It seems someone is out to do nothing but annoy me latley.

Took a day off work today, I had a doctors appointment this morning. The sad regulars may remember a thread I posted a while ago about my lack of energy/headaches and general feeling run down when I'm worn.
When I went to see the doctor about it I was given a sheet of paper with a few appointments on it.
One appointment was "26th June 2012 - Consultation". So down to the surgery I went to find the receptionist had booked me in for the 27th not the 26th. Apparentley she does this by accident quite often. Why is she still working there is thats the case

No worries, day is not lost I have to take my car down to the dealer to have my injectors tested (no reason, just a precaution)... Get there (25 miles - 45mins later) to find out CarShop had cancelled my appointment without telling me so the test and my new instrument cluster could be sorted on the same day.

Then to make matters worse, my phone just packed up and had no other choice but to go replace it

We have asimalar problem with our doctors:
there good at getting Dates/times wrong

And Most times Send us a warning by Text : your apointment as been Canceld please Ring Surgery to Make new Apointment,

With the local health centre here booking an appointment with a doctor usually means waiting 2 weeks, but the funny bit is that if you ring in the morning before 9 they usually have an appointment ready for you on that day, but if its for a consultant they do take a bit more waiting for, making a mistake with the dates isn't really acceptable from a doctors surgery.

Why would car shop cancel an appointment thats not very professional at all, did they even make an appointment in the first place?

I booked it in to be done uner carshops warrenty. Then when carshop phoned up to authorise the new dials they cancelled the appointment on my behalf

It was going back in for dials at a later date. Today it was just going for a health check and to have the injectors bottle tested (All under warrenty). Which they kindley cancelled because they thought it was a good idea to do the dials and the health check in one go... Great! But they could have told me

How's it go again?......."sh*t Happens" I seem to spend my whole life darting between one 'fire' and another.

Our Doctors make you ring at 08:30 for an appointment......that's EVERYONE rings at 08:30 for an appointment the amount of people I've heard of who just go straight to A&E lately is increasing rapidly, you can't get fobbed off then, they have to do something with you. Granted you'd look a wally going to A&E with a sore throat but you know.

Iwouid personaly go in and see them and state, you will give you one last chance
to Rectify the problems,
if then the problem is not solved Report to trading standards,

iwouid drop the car off and leave it with them in the AM
iwouidnt keep taking days off if there Messing you around, loosing Money and worst case loosing your job for sake of these feckers

Next time I goto take it in my Uncle is going to drop me off to work in my car, take it down to the garage and wait with it, when it's done he will come get me from work in it. Like you said, I haven't had a full week in work for nearly 2 months between doctors and this bleedin' car.

idont think employers Mind about Doctors Apointments
but anything else iwouidnt take the risk,

Ask for abit of Overtime there May not be any but it will keep your employer happy just for the Asking, makes them think your prepared to Make up for the hours lost, if you get what imean.

Next time I goto take it in my Uncle is going to drop me off to work in my car, take it down to the garage and wait with it, when it's done he will come get me from work in it. Like you said, I haven't had a full week in work for nearly 2 months between doctors and this bleedin' car.

but anything else iwouidnt take the risk,

Ask for abit of Overtime there May not be any but it will keep your employer happy just for the Asking, makes them think your prepared to Make up for the hours lost, if you get what imean.

Done abit of overtime last week. Worked till 9PM last Monday and until 7 on Tuesday. Normal hours are 7.30 till 4.

Be careful mate, I don't know about Wales but there's bugger all Construction work in the Midlands and the South (and what work there is is being cut to the bone to win it). Once you have the car sorted you really need to get stuck in and keep your head down at work. Not tying to tell you what to do but it's competitive out there and employers have a huge advantage over you at the moment........you need to prove you're a good guy and worth hanging on to.

It's crap and depressing but sadly true.

I'm pretty safe. Most times it's just been a few hours in the morning or afternoon I've missed. Always give pleanty of notice etc. It's not like I'm just taking days ill for the sake of it.
