Then you're probably right - can you swap em all in turn for the spare?
The 'spare' is a Money-Saver so I can't really tazz along at 85mph to conduct my testing :( and it has never seen the light of day and remember I wanted to preserve this for the next generation (still has the sticker on the tyre tread  ).

It's a miracle there's a spare wheel at all, some have to make do with a 'can' and a small black box.

A can to calm the nerves and a black box to work out what happened.

Certainly needed a sharp whiskey on board when the plane got the wobbles at the weekend, bit breezy at the airport.

Again i refer to the 7 seater camping trip puncture that could happen.... I've always got a can or two in the boot (not stella mind) and i've always got some run flat just in case but if i needed to get to the spare i'd be fooked, it could mean a 22kg crazy sheep dog and all my camping gear loose on a dual carriageway.... think i'll go back to the caravan i can throw him in there if need be.

Welly, this sounds all to like my Focus.

I had a wheel wobble, must have had all four wheels balenced about 5 times.
Found play in the O/S Track rod, replaced it. Made it 90% better but not brilliant.

Turned out I had a nackered steering rack. Although it did only cost me £256 in the end.

What's the best way to check if the rack is knackered? never had one go before.

I'm getting fed up with it now Bailes, if the next round of balancing/alignment doesn't fix the issue then I'll be looking at driveshafts :x
