Any bikers on here?

Post by paulm »

Any fellow bikers on here, what do you ride, pics of your ride? If i knew how to post a pic i'd put up one of mine which was once a Suzuki Gsxr 750 Slingshot circa 1989 if i knew how to  !!,it now has a 1100 motor, complete R1 front end,Gsxr 1000 K3 swinger, busa wheel and Gsxr K1 seat unit, nothing left of the standard bike on it,only the original frame from the bike remains and thats had the subframe cut off !Had it 10 year now and i love it.Worked out how to do the pic so here ya go.

He was on here this afternoon dont think he posted though.

Not a biker myself only time i rode one was for 5 seconds i ended up popping a wheelie and ended on my back watching the bike wheelie on it's own.

2 of my good friends are bikers the ones brother is a club prez, he's now fully patched and i think the other is now too... They have great weekends away i went on a winter rally with them in 2010 in my car  and thought i could follow my mate in the outside lane coming off a roundabout... Only enough room for two wheels as two lannes quickly changed into one... Addrenalin rush.

What a cracking rally though all good for a laugh especially the old ladies... Boobs and front bums everywhere. 8) ... I'm thinking of taking the mrs to one with them later this month

Nice bike unlike the old plodders they drive.

Harleys ain't my thing but each to their own, can't have anything standard bikewise, hate to think how much its cost over the years, can't see me ever selling it until i stop riding, any midlands bikers pop down to the Billing Bikefest at Billing Aquadrome on the 21st & 22nd of this month and see it in all its glory,it'll be on display on the www.Oldskoolsuzuki.info pitch alongside several more like minded bikes some considerably better than mine or any Londoners it'll be at the streetfighter show at Brent Cross on the 29th 0f this month,if you come along ask for Paul it would be nice to meet a few folk from here.

Are the proposed new bike regs going to affect you speedsters too? High viz jackets at all times (meaning your hiding your cut) and anything fitted as standard like for instance Mitchelin tyres must be fitted reguardless of age... And my personal fav you cant work on your bike yourself it has to be done by a registered garage

Oh and not forgetting bikes not being allowed to be modified at all... Week last Sunday there was a demo on the M4 where they blocked the road all the way to Cardiff from up past Lanelli.
