I no its a sound car ent got no worrys about that it's the other halfs old man that's selling it he offered it me coz it was a cheap car plus her in doors likes it but says she won't drive coz it's to big lol it just the problems that come with it I don't wanna be spending a fortune on repairs all the time

Parts prices are cheap for them, and theres plenty of them in the scrapyards,
its just the Key card thing thats the downfall, if that goes wrong its 170 notes for another one,
if the car as got 2 cards its not 2 bad,
no one will code them its a renault job

Is it something I can avoid with the card or is it just a common fault

The cards are Flimsy things,
You need to keep them safe, if you have them in your pocket withought a case of some sort they can snap or the switches for the remote locking fall off,
ive got my card in a Metal ciggy case, stops them getting broken, renault desighned them so people couid put them in there wallet, realy bad idea that was
you can repair them but its a gamble,
its not just the laguna, all renaults with keycards suffer,

irepaired one of mine,
its abit dodgey, if you go in abit far with the stanley knife, you can cut the circuit for the imob,
so if theres only one card to start with and it starts the car, iwouidnt touch it,
ionly repaired one of mine because ive got a spare, not many come with 2 cards thats the downfall,

I suppose it's just a case of keeping it safe and in a case of some sort to be honest I ent gonna keep it forever once me d8 is modified and all sprayed up properly I'll get rid of the lag I prefer my manual cars but I drive a van all day so it will be nice just to cruise home and sit in traffic with out a millin gear changeslozz wrote:irepaired one of mine,

the only thing ithink autos are good in are things like rangerovers,
have you seen the lag estates modified ?
