Makes me chuckle looking at old engine bays - there's soooo much room in there and that one is a 'big' engine for its time.

Same with the mk2 Escort
Could fit 2 engines in there!
Wee Peugeot van is nice. Vans in those days look like they had a bit of character, not like the boxes they are now.

Tried in vain to find a pic of a mk4 zephyr engine bay, which despite having the spare wheel in there, is still mostly full of emptiness......
Anyone admit to having one?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6 -speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Now, the things I know about Zephyr's could be written on one of my testicles but looking at that sorry heap from here I can imaging it is nothing short of depressingly shyte to drive.

Were they a common car back in th'day?
I mean, were they as common as a mk2 Granada?
Or a 90s Scorpio?

We had a 1300 Mk1 Capri, could've carried a large suitcase either side of the engine

Just looked on Wiki and it was a Zodiac mkIII but they came with a straight 6 not V6 which was mkIV, if it can be believed
