Music is my biggest hobby, I love listening to all sorts of music - mostly progressive rock/metal, so bands like Dream Theater, Rush, Transatlantic, Spock's Beard, Yes, Demians, Frost*, Riverside, Izz, etc... I like art rock as well, so Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. I also like jazz and blues, like Miles Davis, Norah Jones, Hugh Laurie (yes, that Hugh Laurie, from "House"), Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ray Charles. Can't stand rap "music" or hip-hop.

I actually used to play drums in a big band (meaning we played big band jazz, rather than implying the band made it big :)) however I haven't been able to play drums in years owing to the fact that I live in a 1st floor flat with neighbours on just about all sides. There's also no room in my flat for a full-size drum kit. My drums have been living in my parents house all neatly stacked in a cupboard (just off what used to be my room) for the last 10 years. They are a rather lovely rarity - a full-sized set of Pearl Fibreglass Shell drums (except the snare is stainless steel). I have a set of Zildjian cymbals of varying size and shape.

So since I can't play drums, the only other thing I can really do that fills my day is films/TV and video games. These days I have mostly been playing Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PC, and Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3.

And hanging out in these forums, generally talking shite and not really contributing to any car-related technical discussions owing to the fact I haven't really got any experience or expertise with car maintenance or repair :cheesy:

I dunno about that, someone said you were "reasonably knowledgeable" about eggsauce systems?

I work about 55 to 60 hrs a week so my hobby is "relaxing" for the most part and I've got really good at it now

I kinda like car "detailing"

House-type maintenance, electrical work plumbing etc.

My two kids are my biggest interest I spend a lot of time helping them through the various ups and downs of being 13 and 16yrs old and they are very rewarding (like two mini-welly's) :)

Don't have a hobby in the true sense of the word.

Much like the Welster there, I never seem to stop working these days and my kids take up a fair chunk of my spare time, I'm a bit of a telly addict too, I spend hours in front of the box  . Last couple of years I've been back in college doing my PGCE, so didn't have a lot of spare time anyway. I used to do some greenlaning which, between the driving and the time spent repairing and modding the Zook, was a pretty intense hobby for a few years. Nowadays I like a bit of amature photography (not the kind you're thinking Lou  ) but that's about it...

Me and a mate used to throw our mountain bikes on the back of the car and go up to Dalby Forest and do the tracks but that seems to of fizzled away over the last few years.

Nowadays most of my time is doing DIY which i hate. I'm in the process of turning my attic into a bed room and getting the house ready to let. I already have a tenant chomping at the bit hence why i'm on here during the week as i have the week off work to get stuff done.

Also i suppose i do like getting away for long weekends. Over the last couple of years me and my lass have done a load of city breaks. We've been to Chester, Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh, Newquay, Liverpool, Cardiff and London twice. Weirdly i think Liverpool has been my favorite place. The nightlife scenery is excelent :supafrisk:

Username is "amigaholic"

I almost exclusively play single-player games. Other than Gran Turismo 5, the other PS3 games I play are:

the Assassin's Creed games (I have AC 1 & 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations)
the Secret of Monkey Island HD games (Monkey Island 1 and 2 remade with high-res graphics and voiceovers)
Heavy Rain (superb film-noir styled murder mystery game)
Superstars V8 Racing (official racing game based on the Italy-based Superstars touring car championship - the engine sounds in this game are awesome)

I also occasionally break out Civilization: Revolution (classic turn-based strategy game) and Mirror's Edge (insanely difficult first-person-perspective game with parkour-style running on rooftops).

Step-son has Grand Theft Auto 4 and Dragon Age: Origins. When Skyrim came out, his PC wouldn't run it, so I bought it for him for PS3 too.

We also have Tony Hawk's Project 8 (skateboarding) somewhere but I haven't played it in years.

Fishing used to be my love i'd be down the river in all weather after the old trout, then i started coarse fishing but it tailed off once the kids were born the only place i'd go is on the canal with them and a small wip, one summer when they closed 16 miles of the canal off was brilliant especially as i had a caravan nearby.

Watching the kids fish while you sip real ale is awesome :P ... Now my hobby is watching American tv we aint been fishing in about two years now. :frown:
