Yes, I know, they are a scary second-hand buy  they reckon a lot of the 4wd systems don't actually work but no-one knows until they get stuck in the snow.....which is why they bought the thing

And theres More:

Im Fine Thankyou,

There is nothing the matter with me!
I'm as healthy as I can be.
I have arthritis in both my knees,
and when I talk, I talk with a wheeze,
my pulse is weak, and my blood is thin,
but I'm awfully well for the shape I'm in.

Arch supports I have for my feet,
or I wouldn't be able to be on the street,
sleep is denied me night after night,
but every morning I find I'm alright,
my memory is failing, my head's in a spin,
but I'm awfully well for the shape I'm in.

The moral is this, as my tale I unfold,
that for you and me, who are growing old,
it's better to say "i'm fine" with a grin,
than to let folks know the shape you are in.

How do I know that my youth is all spent?
Well, my 'get up and go' has got up and went,
but I really don't mind, when I think with a grin
of all the grand places my 'get up' has bin.

Old age is golden, I've heard it said,
but sometimes I wonder, as I get into bed,
with my ears in the drawer, my teeth in a cup,
my eyes on the table until I wake up.
As sleep overtakes me, I say to myself:
"Is there anything else I could lay on the shelf?"

When I was young, my slippers were red,
I could kick my heels over my head,
when I was older, my slippers were blue,
but still I could dance the night through,
now I am old, my slippers are black,
I walk to the store and puff my way back.

I get up each morning and dust off my wits,
and pick up the paper and read the 'obits',
if my name is still missing I know I'm not dead,
so I have a good breakfast and go back to bed.

HJ made the 406 look like mobile disaster area but with all those potential very expensive problems I don't think that'll be high on the list.Expensivo too I'll still check on spares prices here, it ain't a bimmer

Kia Sultana? Not so many disastrous faults as the Ovlov but they're as expensive as the RAVs :frown:

Reminds me of Monty python that,

err who was it, Mathias, he said something like,
My legs are old and bent. My ears are grizzled icarnt rember the rest of it,

Google says : A Tired Old Man

(with apologies to Monty Python)

Ears—grizzled.
Legs—gray.
Eyes—old, bent.

My ears are grizzled.
My legs are gray.
My eyes are old and bent.

My legs are grizzled.
My eyes are gray.
My ears are old and bent.

Been waiting for DaiRees on the other Forum too but no sign yet....I've written 2 letters to the chairman to publish in the monthly newsletter and even used First Class Stamps and everything :(

As a 'heads up' as these young chappies say these days; there's an article in the forthcoming August Volvo Forum newsletter entitled "Brake Dust, and how to spot the signs of it occurring". The Author (Terry Snatchett) talks of the danger of taking evasive braking manoeuvres outside the Post Office giving rise to unwanted wheel-tarnishing; sounds like a fascinating article I can't wait.
