Some insurers provide "uninsured driver" cover - i.e. as long as the other side admits liability for the accident, the insurance company can pay you out some money and they can take the other party to the cleaners in court.

Unfortunately none of them provide "other party f*cked off" cover, as far as I'm aware. You pay your insurance company crap-loads every year by law and not one of them is actually interested in paying you anything at all unless they either get the money from someone else, or if you take a massive hit for it. These companies are heartless, soulless bastards.

ive just had acall back that ive been waiting for,

the Engineers report as been completed,

the car is Written off,

the Door post hasnt gone, so Im going to Buy it back, it will end up as a Cat C but im not botherd

you could try changing the fuel filter

ive sorted it, 8)

after pulling it to bits and changing the filters, its all down to the ignition switch :evil:

so after all this time ive been running about in it with it running like chitty chitty bang bang
and all ive had to do is wiggle the key in the ign switch.. iguess the car needs Re-coding :?

Nothing to do with the imobilisor.
The car reads the key on startup and thats it.

Just sounds like a worn ignition barrell.

Go to fiat and they can make you up a new one to your old key.
Ford charged me £35 for a new barrell for the Focus.

yeah your right bailes,
the ignition barrel was fubard :(

couidnt get the ignition lock off tonight so ive broke the barrell off with a pair of pliers
