Not much on tv

Post by FarmerPug »

I got a letter in the post from BT offering BT vision for £4 a month extra, but as far as i can see its just freeview with a record function and it connects to the internet which our tv already does.

Is any of these services worth more than normal free view tv, because when i ever use a tv that has a sky box, bt vision or tivo all there seems to be is the same channels only on different numbers, and the decent extra ones require you to pay more for them.
And why has freeview tv became so crap? There is so many more channels than analogue had, but i find that most stuff is just repeats, and repeated very frequently film 4 keeps playing the same films, and itv4 keeps showing under siege, bbc3 shows the same episodes of family guy. The rest is shopping channels, or the worst ones talent and reality shows  and if there is something good on the ratio of tv show to advertisements is usually biased towards the ads.

The funny thing is that back when there was just analogue there was 5 channels, but there was usually something worth sitting down and watching.
Anyone think the same thing?

I agree with you,in croatia, there were 4 channels on analog tv,and they were ok,but now, after this so call modernisation with digital tv,tv program went really bad.
constanlty repeating same old boring movies.

The best thing to do is to go outside,i dont watch tv more than an hour or two a day.
Program is making people dumber and dumber everyday so i go out and think deep.... meditate on what problem next will occur on peugeot :cheesy:

Honestly, dont watch tv very often,i have 25years and i think thats one of my better decisions.
Some documentaries on history channels are ok,and few domestic, but other than that real pain in the ass.

Used to love love watching Dave but its just repeats of old Top Gear episodes and QI, sometimes the same 5 year old episode in one day lately. Challenge isn't too bad, still repeats but its stuff like the Crystal Maze, Takeshi's Castle, old gameshows that get remade into modern shite lol.
