Count yourself lucky by being able to have Compaq Servers. My place has recently got a deal with dell and we've had to buy Dell equipment. Not a patch on Compaq.

Give me Dells any day. Much better construction and their PERC raid controllers are far, far, far superior to the Compaq/HP ones.

Well luckily for me it's all good now

And yeah Dell vs. Compaq - I know who'd win. We've just put a quarter of a mill order in for HP/Compaq blade servers and a 4 TEREBYTE SAN

Nice

Fraid I havent' mangaed it to any of those "bars" Welton, but one of the boys back in London would give body parts (not that I'd want them) to be here - he has a thing for Chinese girls - but I have to say theres not even one tasty one here in the office - in the hotel there are loads, but the office - NON

And niz - sorry for hijacking da fred man - but I needed some 406 bruvvers to talk to from HK - it aint no fun here - no 406, no proper food, and my woman isn't here either. I've done the touriest bit, but can't wait until 00:40 on Friday when I get's my arse into a quality BA 747 for the trip back to ma crib!

Just looking at the HP blades now and I'm not being overly impressed. Only 8 per 6U? IBM manage 14 in 7U (9U for their badass bladecenter-H chassis) and even Dell manage to fit 10 in 6U, but I'm not keen on the dell blade management. Those IBM bladecenter-H's are insane though. You will never have heard or felt anything like one of those spinning all its fans and blowers to 100% - unless you've put your ear to a running jet engine of course... ;)
