cheers for the ideas,

it hasnt been hit hard enough to bend the suspension luckily -no floor damage.
tail gate /bumper and back light pushed in, :(

no im not having much luck latel'y :(

altho it aint as bad as yours Trem, so ispose im lucky there,.


ive had the taigate trim off, Most of the big dent as popped out, just one icarnt get now because of all the metal structure in the way,.
the main bit is the bumper :(

is the bumper just a thin plastic cover over the strengthening bar?? if yes maybe take the plastic off and warm it up,see if it remoulds itself back into some sort of shape, the metal bits can be hammered into some sort of shape as there covered anyway.

Thanks for the diagram of the bumper,

is there one on there for the tail gate handle, looks like iwill need a new one,its in 4 peices now, :oops:

ive had alook on ebay' 'theres no 306 /406 Handle's. :(
noticed in the yards the otherday none of the estates had one on,

ive fixed it for now, and bolted it on with 3x10mm bolts, It's gotta be better than them stupid fiddly clips,

Well last night igot most of the Damage tidied up,
just gotta order some paint,

after a 170 mile motorway run in this thing im thinking im going to bin it,
it drives like a heap, its ok ish up to 65-70 anything after that its a parcel, (its not my cuppa tea, time to move it on in the next few weeks methinks :roll: )

and its Thirsty, considering its a 1.6 :(

I've not been about much the last couple of days so I'm just catching up, you really are jinxed when it comes to cars :shock: At least they're cheap and you don't get fleeced by the tax man every time :evil:

You looking on buying another 406 mine might be up for grabs after newyear only 2 owners loads of paper work 107k on the clock had 61k wen i got it 2 years ago

168 miles on 45 quids worth of petrol, :( little car or not it shouid do more than that, Me thinks,
dont know why its thirsty or seems thirsty tho, it runs well, and its been serviced reguarly, :?
its not a heavy car either,

@ midsmike idont know if iwill be getting another 406 or not,

my mrs went mad when isaid the 306 is getting binned, she likes it for somereason and saying its staying put :(
