Decent enough quality though from where I'm sitting.
I was playing it from yewtewb yesterday on my sis-in-law's machine and the quality was lousy, all blurry blocks, but then it's vista, which is lousy at everything, playing through Google Chrome, which I don't think much of at all :frown: I think I can see what you mean about the pauses, the original is clear as day, the resized and compressed one I uploaded is slightly jerky (you can see this most when the view changes rapidly on cornering etc.) but the yootoob one definitely pauses every few seconds, this might be because they've changed the frame rate - the original is 30fps for whatever reason. I was thinking maybe to change the length it records for (it can do 2, 5 and 15 minutes, it takes something like 3 seconds to stop recording a file and start recording the next and I reckon there's a lot can happen in 3 seconds so at the moment it's set to 15 ) just so I don't have to mess about with it if I want to upload a file to ewwpube.

I was wondering about that one, almost as though it's caught on a cable or something :? :?

Maybe compressing the file made it go a bit weird. I wouldn't have thought it'd take too long to upload stuff to youtube? not unless everybody was uploading videos of their Cats at the same time  you'd think their compooters would receive stuff really fast :|

That car did get snarled up a cable by the looks, you'd sh*t yourself suddenly going UP like that

Let's all hope that you don't end up on one of those vids though :(

They do.

The problem is that if you're on an ADSL line, you can't send it very fast. The "A" stands for "Asynchronous" and refers to the fact that your upload speed isn't the same as your download speed. All these ADSL broadband providers tout their speeds of "up to 20 Mbit/sec" or thereabouts, but pretty much all ADSL lines run at around 768 Kbit/sec (0.7 Mbit/sec) in the upload direction.

If you're lucky enough to get a Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) like BT Infinity, or a Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) solution like BT Infinity for Business, then you can get much higher upload speeds. You can even bundle up to 4x Infinity lines in such a way that you get 600 Mbit/sec down and 600 Mbit/sec up. It's just silly speeds. Many enterprise-grade routers can't handle throughput that high (Cisco 2951 can cope with around 296 Mbit/sec throughput, less if it has to do NAT at the same time), so it's pretty well guaranteed your average Linksys or Belkin lump o' plastic can't either.

I think that pretty much explains it then :)

I feel a bit sad now. I may be the only person here what's never had an ebay account, a Facebook, or uploaded anything to yourtubes :|

Never mind grandpa :P

I reckon an ebay account would be useful, you can still get ripped off but not as easily as you could in its early days. Most of the time it's just using your noddle, checking people's feedback scores etc.

Facebook, meh, I had one account but it started getting filled up with what people had for dinner, football, stupid games, lots of nonsense I really wasn't interested in, so rather than offend people by telling them to eff off, I killed the whole thing and started again. This time round I'm trying to be more selective in who I "friend": so far I have one

This was the first time I'd uploaded anything to twopubes, a mate of mine has loads of stuff on there (I'd link some but he seems to have made it invisible somehow, so I reckon he wouldn't want it slastered across the interweb here). I guess if you filmed something you'd like us to see you'd figure it out, otherwise I wouldn't include it on your list of things to do before you die...

I've never had a twitter account and I'm sure there's loads of other sh*t out there that wouldn't improve my life in any way, shape or form, I wouldn't loose any sleep over it anyway.

Here, something actually interesting over on the Volvo Forum giving evidence in an insurance claim:
