STUPID SCREWS [[MOAN]]

Post by Sonia406 »

Yes I am going to moan again
It seems I can't even screw properly..............

Stupid iPhones have such stupidly small screws and now I have just stripped one of the screws on the cover just under the camera and flash unit
Obviously this is a very delicate procedure and being a woman I was doomed from the start........ but for f*ck sake, why use such small bastard screws that you can't grip easily? I have the proper tools in my hand so it's not as if I can blame the tools... I have mashed this screw driver head now, so wait for parts to come and more tools....
Anyone else taken apart an iPhone (I have the 4s) and stripped a screw head? What have you best done to remove the offending screw? If it wasn't such a delicate procedure and with an Motherboard so close to it - I would use Brut force to move the bastard but I don't want to f*ck up the phone  :x

I just remembered, last year we were at the wife's aunts' and her cousin dropped her ifone down the bog  There then followed a big panic because she was out of touch with her mates  (mid 30's, married, daughter, still trying to be a teenager   )

Admittedly this phone has been on the wrong end of receiving some WHITE STUFF  and that's why I need to change the loudspeaker unit.... I thought having it on vibrate was safe...

Try to grind a small groove in the head of the screw so you can use a flat head. I had to take a dremel to my iPhone 4S 3 days after I bought it :(
