Whuh? :? Some nobody decides they don't like the 406 for no apparent reason, like I should give a crap. Sadly there are some people that think the Internet exists for them to spout garbage and feel a warm glow in their pants. At least it keeps them off the streets.

Nobody made a perfect car yet

By the by, this was posted on the Rav forum yesterday http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-c ... -mega-test Oh dear oh dear, the new Rav is right down there with the Flealander, panned by What Car? too apparently. Needless to say they're all spitting blood over it, apart from the guy who's had his engine replaced 3 times under warranty. My heart bleeds :|

A lot of people seem to call the ravs but
Idont see out wrong with them
Other than things like bulbs are a pita to change

My mates had ravs for over 2 years now
Very reliable in diesel form. He's tight with money and will forget services
So from what I've seen icarnt fault them,

I might buy one shortly getting fed up with driving low

It's subjective innit. To you it's perfect, to me it's too small and I wouldn't feel safe in it.

Turbochargers make accurate control of the power difficult, and TURBO LAG... 8 normally aspirated cylinders are a must for sonic perfection too - no more, no less.

If I find a wreck of an M5 (E39) for sale cheap, and transplant the good bits (engine, gearbox, LSD, electric toys) into my Touring, THAT will be the perfect car

Why didn't they make an E35 M5 Touring? The only M5 estates you can get are the horribly dated E34 and some brand new V10 jobbies with auto boxes :(

N.B. The fuel consumption of any "perfect" car should not be measured in gallons per mile :supafrisk:

Pffft! It absolutely should! However, it shouldn't be too painful if you drive carefully... I haven't driven an M5 yet, but I'd be very surprised if I couldn't get over 40mpg on a run
