wheeler dollars

Post by scotty73 »

Any of you seen the new series of wheeler dealers? (Wheeler dealers trading up) it started last week basically Mike is traveling the world starting in India trading his way from rags to riches buying cars kinda thing.

WITHOUT THE BIG MAN ED!

It's not bad but one thing really pissed me off in this weeks ep he was in the uk but he was converting everything from pounds to dollars... Now this really wound me up but had the mrs in hysterics at me ranting at him.

It's worth downloading it just to see what i mean  Part of the concept seems to be that the last car he buys in each ep he has to ship it to whatever country he goes to next and make a profit on it.... Last weeks Indian car came to the uk, this weeks uk car goes over to Sweden and so on.... Give it a go it's worth a look if you can stomach Mike talking DOLLARS.

I liked the Indian episode, when selling a second hand car in India BOTH parties in the deal have to be happy :? nothing would ever shift in the UK if you tried that

I don't mind Mike I think he's funny, I just take him as a cheeky trader type and that works for me.

Yeah I'm quite enjoying it, again you need to take some of the "deals" with a pinch of salt, but it's entertaining.

The Dollars thing is a annoying though, it's a British show where he's translating foreign currency into foreign currency, very odd. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they've sold the show in US? You know the septics couldn't handle conversion on the fly, they'd just turn it off!

Might be those Orange gloves?

I remember the 205 GTi episode and remember the car was blowing a lot of blue smoke from the eggsauce............Ed blamed that on a gear linkage or something? was a really weird thing to say :?

$$ bit annoyed me too. Given its on Discovery I can only assume that they commissioned it and plan to air it in America.

At least when he isn't in the UK converting to $ wont annoy so much.
