Happy Birthday Steve

Post by Doggy »

Best wishes for the day young man.

Hope fate smiles on you - maybe the garage the Toilet's in will burn down, while your dash cam provides incontrovertible evidence you were kilometers away.....

Cheers guys :cheesy: I was hoping no one would notice, then I realised it didn't appear on the index page so I put my birthday into the forum. And still hoped no one noticed :supafrisk:

So far today I got a donut  And a tick. I ate the donut and yanked off the tick, I'm just hoping I don't have to show my (middle-aged female) family doctor because of where the damn thing was

I doubt the garage the Yoyo's in has fire insurance, so it'd be just the same as torching the pile of crap myself - no matter how much pleasure watching it burn would give me I'd loose quite a bit of cash. Anyway, latest news is... the inlet manifold is cracked (ffs how many more faults? ). It's plastic so today the guy's seeing if it can be welded.

To quote Red Dwarf: "treated time like it was urine and piššed all away into a big pot." In my case, slowly  Although sometimes I feel like I've been on this forum for centuries. I think I'm getting to that age now where the years make a kind of wooshing sound as they fly past.

I never wanted a tick for my birthday or at any other time, my mate here had one last year and it creeped me out no end, I was itching for days afterwards, checking my bed before I got into it, that kind of thing. I guess it was inevitable really, I picked 4 off of one of our cats last night, then I had another cat sit on my lap for about an hour. I felt absolutely nothing, even wrenching it out didn't hurt, just a sharp pain for a few seconds afterwards. Now "the effected area"'s like an over-sized mosquito bite. I think I'm meant to have some sort of antibiotic injection now, I'm just dreading going to the clinic in case the doc wants to see it, because it's on my, er....

I didn't think it was a good idea to pull the Tick out mid-flow as it were as they kinda spew up back into the bite? better to let the flow go their way? although how do you know when they're finished anyway? :?

What about getting one of the Golden Retards to lick the affected area? I've heard a Dogs lick is quite antiseptic?

I've had loads off the cats and quite a few off the dogs with no adverse effects, I don't suppose I'll be any different. Anyway, I've just heard from t' wife, apparently there's no problem unless it starts to get infected - I realised afterwards I should have checked to see if it left any bits behind but, you know, I was too busy freaking out and incinerating the little blighter

Nah, not really, it would be like being bitten by a non-poisonous snake and worrying if he'd cleaned his teeth lately.

I've just been up to see him and he's had one today too  It's looking like it's going to be a year for it  His was on his.... let's just say he's not going to see his doctor either

Nothing from the guy with the Yoyo, no news is..? :frown:
