Car Stickers

Post by waue1978 »

Was followinga 206 yesterday that looked like it had reversed into Halfords & pulled away with everything still attached to the boot! It really did look that tacky. No offense to Sonia (as I've seen all the pictures of the stickers she wants for Miss Pug) but I'm just not a fan of having loads of stickers with daft jokes all over the back of the cars.

However, amongst all the tat on the boot of this 206, I did spot an absolute gem that I hadn't seen before. It simply read:

S L _ T All I need is u.

This had me chuckling on the way round to my mate's place & had his wife on the floor in stitches. It did make me wonder though. In amongst all the "My other car's a Porsche" crap that's on the market, there are some odd good ones floating around.

What are the best car stickers you've ever seen?
2000/X Peugeot 406 110 HDi LX Family 93k to 2000/W BMW 530D SE Auto 84k to 2003/03 Peugeot Partner Hdi Escapade 98k to 2003/53 Vauxhall Zafira DTi Elegance 74k

A flashy bmw Z3 one day in a traffic jam, i noticed the small letters on the number plate were hard to read i put my glasses on and it said "my divorce paid for this"

But generally i dislike stickers on cars, i normally rip out dealer stickers because i dont want to be a moving advert for a dealer

One that always amused me was seen on our local buses some years ago:

'Keep Your Distance - 1 yard for each mph'

So, what's the correct distance, when the bus stops?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I'm not a fan of car stickers,
The 306 I've got was plastered in them when I first got it
I will only put them on if its for support army/life boats etc.

Maybe I'm getting old,

Well...

Currently Miss Pug has a few on her ass...

''I love my pug''
''I'd rather push a Peugeot than drive a Ford''
''You are now playing follow the pug''

I think I am going to drop the 'I love my pug' one.
At the moment I've seen a few I really like but I don't want to over-do it...
That being said I want a humongous Lion over my bonnet and possibly a blue sunstrip... - at the moment though I can not find the design I picture in my head

I think like with anything car related it's up to the owner what he /she does with her car. Some cars can be over-done. Some cars look hideous with stupid designs, you know the stupid eye lashes on cars idea, and flowers running up the car..
I'm making my car how I want it to look :)

The ones I really like (for those not on my Facebook)

''Driven by a mad bitch''
''Get in, sit down, shut up, hold on''

There's also another normal way up saying '' ^ This way up ^ '' The rest is upside down saying ''If you can read this I am in trouble''

I saw one just last week on a 'ratted' VW Caravelle......."I'm not drunk, I'm dodging pot holes" given the general demeanor of said vehicle anyway I think the sticker would get you stopped for a once-over by the Police in no time :|

I'm not one for stickerage though, I don't understand why you'd want someone else to read something that means something only to you, I mean, why would I care that you're in the AA or that you've been to a certain Holiday Camp or you like a certain Radio Station? it baffles me.

The other day, I saw a severely lowered Octavia with stickers all over. "Built, not bought", the obligatory "Dodging potholes" one and the kicker: "No fat chicks, car will scrape". Both the owner and his girlfriend were extremely hefty, to say the least. I wonder what she thinks of the car...

Personally, I like the ones that don't take themselves seriously.

"I stop for red lights"
"If you can read this, you can read!"
"Honk if you hate unnecessary honking"

I see couples like this too, the car has normally been completely f*cked over by the numpty owner. I always wonder how the Woman feels being transported about in such a shed (or if they even care?) and then they always seem the sort of people who really shouldn't be spending money on these things; god knows what they sacrifice to pay for those rally-inspired Mud Flaps on the 5-door Vectra :| and then they always pick cars that never were or never will be 'sporty' in any shape or form, weird.

my old xsara had not so much stickers but badges put on it by the previous owner who was banging my grandmother so i kinda felt obliged to leave them on there.

It was a confused car to say the least it had a Welsh dragon, a English bloody thing, a union jack and a Valencia badge on it... all on the tailgate...The amount of times i was asked if i was a Valencia fan was incredible.

Nobody seemed to notice the English badge i think that one fell off. :supafrisk:
