M5 meet up point

Post by scotty73 »

Can anyone suggest a meet up point somewhere along the M5? I'll be traveling from Wales (the M50) and the other person from Doncaster to swap over some precious cargo that i will have in my possession so we need somewhere that we can meet and both feck off back home with the least fuss possible.

Anyone fancy meeting up for a cuppa?

Gun running.

I mentioned Strensham but not being a frequent traveler of that area i can't remember if i can just turn back from there or is it a next junction and turn back sort of thing? Last time i stopped there we went straight on to Skegness and didn't pay any attention.

Sam M4 J32? What's that national express drop off point?

You'd have to go up to next junction to turn around for Strensham (about 6/7 miles i think)x2)

J1 of the M50, go north a couple of hundred yards up the A38 and theres a truck stop type cafe thing on the left and a huge lay-by. Seems like a good location to me.

Looks like I'm going way past that now been asked to do the swap at Hopwood services on the M42, so plan is to make a weekend away out of it and take the caravan to a site I've found a few miles further on.

Plenty of storage space under the caravan seats to hide the guns.
