Not sure if you're being serious there but having cycled for a fair bit (not any more because of my back) I'm in a position to know just how scary it is, how car drivers make no allowances for potholes etc and the necessities for avoiding them. You can tell drivers who have cycled from those who have not because of the amount of room they leave, those that haven't generally zoop past within a few millimetres lčeaving you buffeted by their turbulance. For a while I used to cycle in and out of North London where I was working and I lost count of the amount of close calls I had. I even had some guy try and park on me, I had to jump off onto the pavement and drag the bike off after me to stop it getting flattened. When I confronted the guy he hadn't even realised I was there, just stared at me like I 'd just beamed down from a spaceship. I've even thought about damaging cars but then it's hard to make a quick getaway on a bike (not so on a motorbike  )

My bro-in-law's dad here was knocked off his push bike a couple of years back, it turned him from a sprightly old boy into a housebound cripple with only a vague handle on reality. I told him he should wear a helmet, he didn't because he never had so unfortunately when he got knocked off he landed on his head :(

My first E39 Beemer picked up 2 punctures in a month because the bolts that were supposed to be holding the blocks down had come undone & wedged into my tyres!
Am I the only one who isn't really bothered with these?
I must admit the ones near your road were shot to pieces, corners broken off and to be honest, not even aligned properly, hence the way you have to weave about...
My Pug really doesn't bother much with these. but then I do go over them centrally. Where I live we have mostly sleeping policemen I think they are called.. in the next village they have these style humps.

My Pug went off roading last Sunday on bumpy territory, she even went through water (I must admit I took that painfully slow!!)
She seems to handle all that I throw at her, poor old girl needs these week days to recover
