Reminds me of a guy I knew who had one of those awful honda-in-disguise Triumph Acclaims, yonks ago. While dropping his mates off after a round of golf, he used the remote boot opener lever inside the car to let his pal retrieve his clubs, so he wouldn't have to go out in the pouring rain to open the boot.

His buddy lifted his golf bag out of the boot, tapped on the window and said, "See if you can close it from there".
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
