Battery warning

Can't remember exactly what the message said, but the battery light came on.

There's an intermittent fault stored in the BSI, but that's all.

Parameter measurement suggests everything is good.

Top: engine off. Bottom: engine running.


Started up and drove 10 miles with no further tantrum, so I'll let it develop

Otherwise it's had a good day. Trip to Southampton this morning got 61mpg on the computer, and the air con is working magnificently -- radiator fan and all

If this rings any bells then it would be good to know what happened.

I had "battery voltage low" on the MFD and the battery light on a while back and it was the alternator on the way out,changed the alternator and all is good again.

It's also worth making sure your quick-release battery terminal(S) are good and tight.

...and maybe check the main earth connections too?

Also check the alternator clutch pulley if yours has one as they can loose drive.
