Cables in the boot

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Cables in the boot

Post by danllew »

Hi there, i have these two random cables in the boot, one with a yellow connector on the end and one with a blue, and i have no idea what they are for. If anyone could let me know it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

They're located on the right side of the car.

I'm pretty sure the blue one is for a Peugeot Sat-Nav, factory fit one, and the round yellow one I guess is for a towbar, judging but the layout ( earth in the middle and lights round the outside )

I thought that to begin with, but theres already a tow bar on there that''s wired up, which is why im confused about it. These cables were just tucked away behind a panel and i cant find anything on them anywhere.

On mine, the CD changer is on the other side and it has a similar blue connector, unless there are alternative players of course.

Would an LX have had sat nav as an option as that's where it would be situated.

I have no idea, at first I thought they might be something to do with why the rear speakers don't work. But after some reasearch the jbl amps have different connections to these so I'm stumped on both issues.
