Installing DiagBox 6.01

I have PP2000 running fine on XP, so that's staying where it is!

I thought I'd give DiagBox 6.01 a go, as it also came on the CD with the box. This is on a clean copy of win7 32-bit on a 32-bit machine.

Installed fine, applied the scarymistake patch.

Can start DiagBox OK, and it sees the box (because if the box isn't plugged in then it complains).

Form there, you choose "Peugeot" and then choose PP2000 which launches PP2000, but it can't see the box:

Now, "not connected" is wrong because it is connected and DiagBox could see it.
The only plausible reason I can think of for it being "in use by another application" is that DiagBox isn't releasing it, but that's odd because it's a fresh install.

So: if you have DiagBox 6.01 working then what was your experience of installing it? Did you run into this problem? Is it possible to launch PP2000 without going through DiagBox?

On my version 7.02 you choose diagbox or pp2000.

That connection problem with the indication that you get is listed as a common connection problem, solved by unplugging the usb and reconnecting.

You may need to update the interface drivers.

As per above...
Try disconnecting and immediately reconnecting the usb cable at the pc end...
It will revert to the diagbox and pp2000 selection.
Go for pp2000 if that's the one you want and it should follow thru..
