For those who came to Pugfest you'll know my starter motor wasn't in the best condition anyway, BUT it was starting, all the time.
It sounded like it was screaming but as I say, it would start each time.
Today, I go out to her. Turn the key. Nothing. Battery flat?!

After leaving the key fully turned she finally started after what seemed an eternity. When she fired up I immediately checked all the lights, nothing on. Nothing seems to of drained the battery. I have come to the conclusion the battery is NOT dead but it is taking everything the battery has got to turn the starter motor and turn the car.
When she finally turns we have a really loud screaming noise come from the starter motor; much louder than at pugfest.
It has to be the starter motor I am sure of it.
The battery was brand new in January this year.
I took a short video of it, the effort it takes to start, I am 99.9% it is the starter motor. Multi meter broke so can't test the battery for voltage.
I tried to hook up PP2000 & even that decided to throw a hissy fit.
And to make matters just that bit worse, today I have the EML come back on (possibly misfiring, engine was shaking violently even though the engine mount was done, but no unusual popping sound from exhaust) and the ABS light came on too... ABS light has gone back out but seriously? FFS
Look away now if you don't like swearing:
When is that temperamental slag going to cut me some f*cking slack?

I said to myself that's it, if after the rocker cover & gaskets don't fix her up, that's it - she's going to be run into the f*cking ground til next May when the MOT is up and what I would be spending on car parts til then will be saving for my HDi - she obviously heard me saying that yesterday as today she's all like 'you ain't running me into the ground woman!!'

I thought that the spark plugs were already swimming in oil, turns out what I saw through the coil pack was not the spark plugs hole. Some manufacturing hole I have been told...
