Sonia,

Also ( not sure if the model is too old for what your looking at ) - the GTX comes fairly well equipped with all the puddle lights, electric seats etc.

Heard rumours it's a harder spec to come by, but don't know enough about the way Peugeot changed these things :cheesy:
The Rubble Shifter: 2.0 HDi 110 GTX 406 Estate, Tuning Box, K&N Filters.
Thunderbird 4: Mercedes AMG E55, Full Decat & Res Delete.
*New Addition* The Roller Skate: VW Polo GTi

This ones a GLX, so I'm pretty sure it has electric seats but don't think it has puddle lights....

It's effectively my trim (LX) that gained a G...

Anyone know the difference with the G and no G models

I suspect all the GLXSLRSTUV stuff doesn't actually mean very much, and when Pug were selling these cars buyers could add & subtract stuff willy nilly. Either that or they changed the spec every week. Anyway, just 'cos it's an ABC don't assume it's got whatever, check it.

Yep, it's whatever parts were lying about on the day it was built. Generally, later cars are better specced for a given trim level.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Indeed Lou, yours goes well and has really nice power delivery with a good wide spead or torque, (remarkably similar to my bro's, come to think of it). :supafrisk:

C'mon then Doggy, do enlighten me how much tax you pay per year?

I've done an insurance quote and that's £200 cheaper to insure (original 406 on the first post)
Even though it's newer than my car and with a bigger engine - can anyone make sense of that? Unless it's purely because it HAS an alarm.

Surely the newer the car they have cheaper insurance? I believe Miss Pug's insurance is £143 for 6 months, (so maybe £220 for a year?) I'm sure the boys said their tax is loads much cheaper than mine.............

Apologies, I meant £200/year (£110 for 6 months). The rules changed in 2001 I believe. Have a look here: http://carfueldata.dft.gov.uk/new-vehic ... ?t=23ude39

Been to look at the car, took along rwb for good measure, he'll tell you all the technical stuff later on.
Thanks for coming today Rwb, you super star... I like the fact you were quick off the mark with the mathematics (goodness  ) but also the service history... I think he felt a little intimidated when you were having a good old dig through it all

Thanks again rwb!

Cozy, it was definitely cozy in my car after we'd done the inspection of the car
He's a lovely chap, full of helpful advice and hasn't been the first time he's gone out of his way to help me out... I have rwb to thank for a LOT. Extremely glad that he lives local-ish... and can be of assistance when I scream loud enough :D

Clean intercooler:

 Richard said something about a blanking plate on an EGR valve (I know from a friend with a Poxhall, the EGR valves can cause no end of grief) Not sure if it's visible on the pic:

The under body;

I thought the smaller part was the DPF and the larger part was the Cat, I think Richard said it was the other way round - boys?!

That's all the pics I could take, my stupid stupid iPhone crashed at the worst possible time........
