Glow plugs done.
Need to check if that's satisfied the computer.
Had an oil change too since it looked downright powdery. Will have to keep an eye on this. The service interval is 20k so this could be only its fourth oil change

or a quarter or a fifth of that until it settles down!
The 406 was on 6k to 8k, but when I disabled the EGR it stayed a lot cleaner so I lengthened it to 10k.

Re: 2.2 HDi The Next Generation
Just been out to check: glow plug fault gone, DPF fault demoted from permanent to intermittent, and starting reduced from 5 cranks to 3. So that was good job. I guess I can look forward to my first regen tomorrow!

Re: 2.2 HDi The Next Generation
Here it is strapped in and ready to go.
And here's when the result came up.
I have a graph, but only on paper and my phone won't take a clear shot, so you'll have to wait while Monday when I can get one of the designers to scan it
It has 100hp and 280ftlb (380Nm) available at 2000rpm (which is exactly what's on my power and torque curves.
And here's when the result came up.
Peak torque is 290ftlb (393Nm) at 2450rpm. (Manufacturer: 370Nm at 1500rpm but measured 290Nm.)Stuart wrote:HDi don't believe it!

Re: 2.2 HDi The Next Generation
So is that 180bhp in standard form? and it should be 170?
I've heard this before with the VAG 1.9 engines very often give more than they say on the tin.
Nice though, at least you know the engine is sweet.

Re: 2.2 HDi The Next Generation
the problem with rolling roads is they can often give different results, my mate has got a golf R32 which has been on loads of rolling roads and has had results of anywhere between 240/285 bhp , either way though that is some good power and i bet that would be amazing with a decent map on it
