Anyone got one of these car dry blade things

Has anyone got one of these things, and if so which is best?

Been wondering about using one to get most of the water beads off my waxed motah, then maybe go round it all with my AutoGlym Aquadry Chamois.

I get a bit sick of ringing out the Chamois about 10 times before you get down to the real drying off.

I've got one of the straight blade things with a handle on it. Top notch for doing the larger areas before you chammy. Got to watch out for little bits of grit etc tho!

Whilst I'm on, are those Auto Glym chammies any good? Need a new one myself!

Yes, mine has lasted 4 years and still going strong. I kept an old plastic tube with a lid to keep it 'moist' for me all week

They are synthetic but last longer and are arguably better than a smelly old leather.

I brought mine from Halfrauds, not oo bad but worth getting a decent one as my blade is very thin and starting to show the use. Nothing beats a real leather chamois tho.

I'll have you know I wash it at least once a fortnight! Generally when I can't see clearly through the passenger mirror is when I'll show it a sponge, but of course 24 hours later it looks as if I'd never bothered... I'm not really fussed about the looks for that reason alone, but it's good to know I'm keeping the dreaded rust at bay a bit!

Hmm avatar. I'll get round to it... Next time I clean the car
