Possibly but I never used it in the 406 as I had an aftermarket system in there (Alpine 9887R HU, Kenwood amp in the boot and Focal speakers all around). That stuff alone is worth around £200-£250 so I am not giving it away with the car
JBL system sounds good enough ... even for me, but iPod control was very awkward.
I will definitely be selling the Alpine as I can't replace the radio in the 407. I paid £140 for mine earlier this year but obviously I won't recoup this cost. Would like somewhere close to this - don't know, £120 maybe? It comes with everything except the original box. It has an iPod lead as well as a normal aux-in one if you want to use a generic player. Remote control, Imprint processor capability, if you know what these are. You won't get a better HU for the price... and you'd need to pay a LOT more to get better sound.
It PASSED! Advisories on the rear tyres - 2mm of thread left and some other small bits but IT PASSED! Wheeee!
Time to wash it, clear all the shite out of it and it'll be as good as new! Well, almost. Certainly in a MUCH better condition than the courtesy 406 I have... It's a 1.9D XUD D8 and it's fantastically S-L-O-W...
The advisories were about both rear tie rods have wear on the rubber seals but it's not causing excessive movement... yet. These are cheapo eBay jobbies fitted in February - guess they didn't last long!
I do love my car, though... After getting out of the horrible D8 (and it was horrible), I felt like was getting into a Rolls Royce! It will be a shame to see it go. Jasper, want to add another nice 406 to your collection??
