Didnt make any difference to the starting on mine when it was knackered, Noise was consistent and hideousrwb wrote:From noise.
It's only slight. Silent today, but it was its noisiest yet yesterday -- having been sat all weekend.
However, I wonder whether cranking against the unstable mass of a bust DMF isn't helping.
Dip the clutch while cranking, see if it's any better, at least you'll have released the burden of turning the main shaft through the gearbox. This crow slanking could just be dirty terminals on those big-ass cables to the Marter Stoter?rwb wrote:However, I wonder whether cranking against the unstable mass of a bust DMF isn't helping.
I really don't know what to do, I either make a financial commitment to fuel, labour and parts (You're not doing it for free, my orders) and just keep fingers crossed it passes the mot, or I spend £143 on the tax to get miss pug legal again... which then buys me time until May to sort this thing out!jasper5 wrote:Well, my offer still stands, a few quid on diesel and a 4 hour drive each way gets my time free and the car gets a good sort out![]()
Only problem? is that business is picking up and time is getting limited towards Christmas.
Thanks Lozz, Problem is I know for a fact the thing WILL fail! How the wheels haven't fallen off yet I don't know?lozz wrote:grab the bull by the horns and fire it in for Mot abit early
if it fails on to much then get mrs pug taxed up
you never knows it might pass with a few advisorys. get any obvious things fixed before mot steering rack gaitors are an obvious fail
but cheap to buy (get someone off here to fit them for you)
