Depends on what you mean by "cheap" really. 35000 weasels translates as a gnat's willy over 3,800 quid.

You must be referring to the 'fun' you experience when driving something which is likely to breakdown/collapse at any moment or understeer you off a big cliff edge.lozz wrote:ibet they where fun cars to drive
Remember they used to say that the DS was able to drive with one rear wheel removed

And that's a bad thing?
Hold on, you do realise this is a car that started life in 1955 don't you?

Re: Fog 'turny' lights
Can't say I'd noticed the fog light thing, but I have noticed that Audi have made the indicator lights so small that they're effectively useless anyway.
Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

I'm with welly on this one.
(NO! I DON'T want a volvo)
With so many twats on the road having a headlight, a front fog, or both out, you tend to assume it's another one of these idiots, (whereas you are witnessing a different evolutionary failure, albeit one that presents in a similar fashion).
Impound them and scrap 'em anyway, I say.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: Fog 'turny' lights
My bimmer's got automatic headlights. It got used the other day when I activated it by accident (turn the lights knob to the left of 'off'). Never again. Awful feeling of losing control over the car, even if it was just the lights. I also LOATHE that the auto-dimming mirror doesn't have an on/off switch... Going to have to add one when I find some time to myselfDaiRees wrote:since it's got DRLs and automatic everything I never switch the lights on
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Re: Fog 'turny' lights
My 406 had auto lights, auto wipers, auto dimming mirrors, so I'm quite used to letting the car make some decisions for me (read "I'm happy being proper lazy"), the radar cruise and auto braking stuff takes a bit of getting used to though!mjb wrote:My bimmer's got automatic headlights.
