I only have until Jan 5th to get it up to Jasper5 for the work and parts to be done... TOM runs out 6th January....
I would be much happier going up there knowing the brakes were 100% okay as I know the rest of the TOM items are that bad they'd cause a crash etc etc.......

I don't know what to do with the bloody thing to be fair....

Lozz she asked for our thoughts on the matter and that is what we are posting ....
At the end of the day right, it's not as if I am saying I won't be doing the jobs - it just buys me some time to get it up there but by doing the brakes first, to ensure on the journey up there - I can stop
sounds like she is seriously considering it ...

idont think so tbh,

but sometimes some offers are too good to refuse- but its always better to ask for an opinion from others first,
ithink that will be the case, but imay be wrong,

Well I don't have 14 kids.......... yet.

I am / was considering it because money is tight and I don't see any way I can get it up there with the MOT in tact in the new year........ this is all.

Being a single mum + this time of year do not mix.

The only certainties in life are death and taxes. So what's the plan in case of failure?

I you want to take it to Jasper's (and if Jasper can accommodate it) then I should be able to give you a lift back down on 29th or 30th.

But I think this brings us back to:
which one are you keeping?

If you're keeping the black one then get it fixed and TOMd.
The clutch isn't required for the MOT so that could limp on for a month.

If you're keeping the blue one then the TOM isn't urgent, other than it prevents you from selling it.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

You can drive a car on the road with no mot
as long as its on Route to an mot station with a slot booked for its mot.

costs nothing to book slot for mot

Err, If I can yeah - take it to Jasper5's, let him get it through the MOT...
Is that December rwb? (That would be very kind, me and trains don't mix! Dave will be coming with me though and sharing the driving..)

In an ideal world I would like to keep the black one, it returns better MPG and it's got more gadgets than Miss Pug... I just need all these little niggy bits sorted so I can get to like a half decent car at least...

Absolutely 100% correct.

Had this with Miss Pug this May, as long as the test station have your registration number and an MOT slot is booked - it's perfectly legal to drive the car on the road.
