Music hosting question

Post by scotty73 »

Anyone know if it's possible to put music files on here somehow without any copyright problems?
My kids had a 5 song cd recorded a few weeks back, I can upload some to soundcloud but one in particular that was mentioned in the speeding thread will not upload. I keep getting this message.
Our automatic content protection system has detected that your track, "Emma James",

The only other way I can share it is through E-mail but i would just like to upload it to get some honest opinions.... If all else fails I'll mail it to those that want to hear it.

Scotty,

Happy to upload these through to my server if you want to send me the files.

I'll create your own folder and give you the links to share etc.

Sounds like a plan mate, The one song for now if you don't mind is for Sonia and of course anyone who is interested... My mate asked if she would do a cover of it for him it's Evanescence-My immortal.. A song i had never took notice of but now love but I'm her dad.

Here's the original from youtube and if you pm me your E-mail I'll send you Emma's attempt.

PS: Everyone please listen and be honest with your verdict because the next couple of songs could be Phantom of the opera kind of stuff......

It was for her tbh her vocal range is higher she did say she struggled with that song, musical theatre is more her style I'll get her version of Think of me on here later.

Is the tempo kept the same? Seemed a bit too slow for my liking, would of preferred a bit more musical stuff to back her up too..
But her voice, faultless - like Lozz says, a hard song to sing (Hell, I've tried in the shower!.... I'm joking) hats off to her, she has a long beautiful career ahead of her with a strong powerful voice like that!

Well Done Emma! :)

It was from a backing track she knicked off youtube she didn't want to do it but my mate had asked her to so she gave it a crack (personally i love it but I'm dad)

I've not had time to send the rest to Waxman yet but when i do the next one will be Think of me from Phantom of the opera... To me nothing will beat her performance of it to win Wales got talent but with the recording it takes away any backround noise.

I'm off out to watch them both sing now but tomorrow I'll post the youtube version my daughter went off to do it because the first one i just found had the male part in it plus a different cadenza (apparently you can do your own Cadenza so i was told)

Kids eh!!

Here is her version of it in Wales got talent though.

I've only ever heard her sing it once tbh it's not what she normally goes for, her range is more musical theatre.

Took them to my old local last night for a drink with old friends and just let the kids have a sing with no pressure... Well I was in tears again  and wish someone had recorded the night but like I said no pressure.

But I think my youngest is trying to prove a point... The point being Oi Don't forget about me you lot my big sis might be the one in the limelight but listen to this... She sang quite a few songs with ease and ended her night belting out "I dreamed a dream"

 :arrowl: That was the look on everyones face in the pub.

I'll be setting my karaoke up later for them if they're in the mood for it I may do some voice recordings.
