Well the Picasso has been sat on my drive for a month now and had to remove the battery to charge it, it was hidden under the passenger seat..!
The only issues I have noticed are;

1) The drivers mirror will not move or fold - turns out it is not the right one or even plugged in, so that is next on the list to be replaced. This also explains why the outside temp thermometer is not working as thats where it is fitted.
2) The drivers door drops when you open it, but lines up perfect and flush when door is shut so maybe a dodgy hinge but there is no movement when I lift the door?
3) The alloys are a bit scuffed but no worse than the missus will do to them....

Thats it. I got 55mpg on the way back from Basingstoke, no problems. All electrics work ( apart from the mirror ), a recent cambelt change and the sunroof has been resealed professionally. It only has 88K on it so far with a fair bit of service history.

When I get round to taxing it and swapping the insurance from the 306 then I will get a proper feel for the car and find its faults - there must be some as its a Citroen..

Theyre not abad motor.
build quality is abit poor.they fall to bits slowly on the inside.

Btw.have you removed the jack and wheel brace from inside the spare wheel? yet.
if you get a puncture on the back you need the r.a.c /AA to jack it up to retrieve jack and wheel brace. as ifound out

My sister in law had one and other than destroting the injectors by refusing to put more than £10 worth of diesel in at a time it was a solid reliable car.
They do suffer from the same chocolate drop links as the 406 so buy quality or buy an angle grinder to speed up changing cheap ones, personally I like the pretty sparks :cheesy:

Just an update, I put a question up on the French Car Forum saying about some of the issues with the Picasso - I have sorted 3 or 4 so far ( drivers mirror, power fold and heated - £30, Outside temp sensor from donor car etc ) but I really need someone who has owned one in the past to give advice. Seems FCF are not so enthusiastic with their welcomes or suggestions, so I have copied my post below.

"Hi there, my name is Kelv and I recently purchased a 2002 Picasso Hdi Exclusive. I chose this for my missus to replace our aging but bulletproof and 100% reliable 306 DT.
I have been using 406oc forum for a while now and have learned a great deal, so this knowledge has been put to good use sorting out the few niggles the new Picasso has, I am only posting to see if anyone has had problems or solutions to the following issues.

1) Wind noise from Sunroof - seems excessive at 50mph.
2) NSF door drops 10mm when you open the door but lines up fine when shut ( may try new pins )
3) Wobbly gear stick
4) Temperamental interior lighting

The car has good history - I spotted new drop-links when reattaching the rear window jet on the washer bottle - and the cambelt has been replaced. On the whole I am happy with the car.

If anyone has had similar issues and can advise me on how best to fix them then I will be very grateful.

Many thanks, Kelv."

It seems people here are much nicer - I forget how good this forum is.. 8)

The gearstick was wobbly on the pic ihad,
the whole selector thing was worn out, lift up geargaiter and have look in there you will work it out,
you can pack the pivots with grease but it dont last long,
