I keep all my car cleaning car and car related tools in a wooden chest of draws in the garage.
Went to get a few odds and ends out of there and they have all swollen and I can't open anything
Any suggestions?
Bailes.

Dehumidifier comes to mind (if you have one or can borrow one) but you'd have to seal all the gaps in the (garage?) so that you're not trying to dehumidify the whole of Wales.
Once dried the wood should shrink back (or be f*cked) whichever comes first. So you can then either treat it to Yacht Varnish to 'seal' it or bugger it off down the tip
When you've done that can you come and do my side gate cos that's stuck at the moment (all the rain).
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
I'm sure Sam would make a lot of friends if he did that
Btw I've got a dehumidifier here you can borrow It's been in my bedroom since I used it year before last when I went to bed in an oven, left the windows open and woke up to a monsoon and wet feet
How about a dehumidifier and a very big plastic bag?
Managed to get into it with a chainsaw.
A bit strange I noticed while I was cleaning my car my front O/S tyre is down to the limit while the N/S still has 3mm.
According to the health report I had from Ford 3 weeks ago both front tyres were on 3mm so god knows what's happened to that tyre
Issue is as I'm almost a home owner in going to have to get something a tad cheaper. Can get Hankooks for £90 a corner.

Been there, done that, regretted every minute.
Kumho's were better, but as welly & I have both found out the hard way, serious torque distorts the carcass.
You pays your money etc. etc.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
I always thought Hankooks were decent? They are fitted to many cars out the factory!
I'm running about 400nms at the moment so do worry about torque warping the tyres.

In the tyre shop now.
Just to prove a point to the Missus I was going to go for budgets as she doesn't believe they don't last.
Asked for two budgets and the guy came out with one linglong and one nankang.
So I sent them back and I'm currently fitting Hankook Ventus Prime for £99 each

Never been a fan of cheap rubber. The X trail came fitted with Nanking on all 4 corners. These tyres were great!!!.
It was only when I came to wash the car 1 week later I noticed it. Waited until 6mths (last w end) then fitted a decent set of ATS tyres Yoko Geolanders . You get what you pay for. Nanking £50 a corner. Vs Yoko's £130 a corner. As for my passat, its been running on Pirelli P Zeros from day 1 and still is.
Dont short cut on cheap tyres!!!. Sam, I'm sure you know it deep down
Yeah just had everything checked and it was all bang on!
Tyre wear is perfectly even too!
My drivers side wheel span up on some leaves on Friday which is the only reason I can think the drivers side tyre was down to the limit.
I've had many arguments on here as I always got the best tyres for my motor!
My Uncle has always spoken highly of Hankooks so let's give them ago!

By comparison, the Pirelli P7s that are standard on my 407 have wet rating C and fuel rating F, and the Michelin Energy which I've been quite clearly instructed on here are lethal in the wet have wet rating A but fuel rating only C.
I didn't think they were bad at all in the wet! Time will tell though.
I was only getting Budgets to prove to the other half that they are an utter waste of money!
