Brilliant!

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Ditto. I'm not sure why watching a washing machine shake itself to bits is so funny.
I couldn't make out what it was he tossed into the machine at the start, something heavy I suspect. I wonder what the chances were of it chucking it out again at 200mph

I think it's because even though it's destroying itself it just keeps going and going.

Re: Friday's Washing Machine Carnage
Looked like a short piece of steel pipe flanged at both ends; probably about 5Kg - I don't suppose it could escape due to the centrifugal thingy. I liked the door flying open, the metal plate flying from the back and the final 'dance' around the Garden.

Re: Friday's Washing Machine Carnage
Obviously a rigged machine as it would stop on the door opening... also makes me suspect some screws were removed from the panels... but good vid..

Re: Friday's Washing Machine Carnage
I suspect mains was wired straight to the high speed windings on the motor, that's why it could vacate the chassis and keep going. And going and going...

That's brilliant! Yeah, the mains was wired straight to the motor, I loved the bit when the drum came out and started making it's own way around the yard

Absolutely brilliant.
Did sound a bit rough though - the final bit when the drum was waltzing matilda run the garden was reminiscent of my bro's XUD.
Prior to that, I thought I was listening to my neighbour's VW TDI.

Re: Friday's Washing Machine Carnage
Best bit for me was at the end. An advert for a 'Whirlpool repairs'. I think it may have been a bit beyond repair.

That reminds me of the one photonic induction did a few years ago:

There is something quite funny about watching a washing machine disintegrate.
