It came like that! Remember when I was looking at them and every one I saw had some fairly bad damage on the side they neglected to post a picture of in the ad? This one had a small dent or scrape on every single panel but I figured I'd sort them out once t'wife had finished bouncing it off everything but in the end she's not actually driving it and I'm finding myself less and less interested in actually doing anything about it. Actually I've been wondering about getting myself a decent spray gun (the one I have is cheapy cheapy) and learning how to spray on it. Who cares if I bugger up a few panels while I'm doing it.

Oh, I thought you owned your own plate and transferred it car-to-car so it gets a bit tatty? I then imagined it'd be a paper trail from hell to get new replacement plates made up over there?

You could experiment with dent-pullers and do your own bodywork but why bother? someone will only go and twat it in a car park and bugger off :supafrisk:

I got to keep them because the car was registered locally, if it hadn't have been when I renewed the registration (with the MOT equivalent, insurance, tax, environmental charges and whatever else they can dream up to suck money out of my wallet) I would have had to get new plates to put on it and take the old ones back whence they came (even if that meant Dubrovnik  ). I actually asked in the cop shop whether they'd give me any grief because of the front plate but they didn't care. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to change the plate,I don't think it would be as easy as just getting new plates off of the moron in the cop shop that does that sort of thing as the number is all over the documentation, they probably have some insane procedure for doing it that involves dropping my trousers and bending over. They're made by convicts apparently

There's only one actual dent in the metalwork, it's on the rear quarter next to the tailgate and I think I could probably get behind it with a block of wood and thump it out. The rest is just dinks and scrapes that'll take filler. Bumpers both ends are a bit mangled too but I'm planning to invest in a plastic welder... Actually, when I bought it it was the only one of these I'd seen without loads of careless bugger damage on the door panel plastic rubbing doo-dahs, probably because they'd recently been painted. They're a mass of dinks now  I'd be a bit pissed off if I actually cared about it...

I know it doesn't really matter but I have 2 compressors and I think it would be something that I'd like to be able to do. The point of learning on the yoyo is it doesn't matter if I cock it up.

This is not good enough, if February doesn't bring me some Schnow I'm gonna get quite cross and start tutting loudly.
Sharing your pain mate. Still, at least using the winters has delayed the cost of a new set of summers lol!

It has been a relatively warm winter everywhere on this side of the pond. The Russians didn't get their proper cold and snow under around a few weeks ago... it was eerily green in mid-January.

To be honest the ONLY reason I have these Winter's is because I was desperado for new tyres, winter was approaching, and I was lucky to spot some very new-ish tyres on the Volvo Forum (in a brief moment when they weren't arguing with each other). I do like the concept although I remember being frustrated that I could make swift work of the snow but ended up stuck behind all the other wheel-spinners on the commute.

Best to go off on your own and play like this, got some bemused looks that day :o

Just tried it now, they don't give out much more heat (if any) than the heaters up to full temp...Just not sue I fancy pointing it at the screen. :supafrisk:

Not really sure mate but it might not be good to point at one place on the 'screen, the heater blows air across most of it so doesn't really concentrate in one spot. Maybe we should think of it as a pyrex dish, they can take some serious temperatures but I don't think it would be safe to shine a blowtorch one point...

You should definitely make sure there's suitable fuse fitted to it.
