Bids are up to £14K now  just read the description again and the guy kinda 'glossed over' the Bullet Hole look......the original shot-up door was given to the writers! those 'holes' on the door now are Vinyl Stickers
15k now  Really!!!!? It's not even a show car. For that money I would want a car dry stored for 20yrs + 8)

205 T16, please or a Lancia Delta. Have a bit of a soft spot for the group B rally cars

A £15,000 old nail. Looks like a prime candidate for 'no contact from winner'.

Dear god  Just over a day left, watch for those last few seconds sniper bid pushing the price up to something seriously stupid.

Hey, my mate here was in the series Winds of War, how much is he worth? (According to the Croatian government, f*ck all)

(Old man mode.)

I was fortunate enough to be around when these motoring icons were being used for what they were built for, and first set eyes on the Quattro in 1984 on the RAC rally, when it was fighting against the 205 T16.

IIRC, it was Hannu Mikkola v Ari Vatanen, which Ari won but the real stars were the cars themselves.

Hannu was in an A2 while the stunning Michele Mouton was in a Sport version and finished 4th. Malcolm Wilson drove an A1 but retired.

(I suppose the men that got the most admiration in Quattro terms though, were Hannu and Walter Rohrl. Walter still does demonstrations in other peoples Quattros.)

After being there as a spectator, I have followed most forms of 4 wheeled motorsport since, and have competed as a rally navigator sadly not in a Quattro.

I now own 50% of a Citroen Xsara VTS road rally car.
